UNC ABSN Program for Summer 2021

Agreed. Today the mail didn’t run, but I do hope that they’re mailed out this week. Either way, it should be soon. Ekkk.

Posting this here because I know that for the last 2 years I I have been looking at these similar posts as a prospective student! I am a student-athlete and would be unable to pursue nursing school while playing sports, so I majored in kinesiology as a close relative! I have an overall 3.7 GPA but am not sure what my science GPA was calculated as since I had some AP scores waive grades.

I have worked in some public health research, worked as a health sciences department peer mentor at my school, and did various other volunteering events along with playing soccer at my school! I do not have any explicit healthcare experience which is worrisome, but I felt very good about my essays!

The cohort being so large at ~104 seats is slightly comforting. I know this program is so competitive.

Congrats on applying! It must be very satisfying to be this close. Yes, hopefully in the next couple of days we will find out.

They just let me know that I was accepted! Sent it via email

Congrats to everyone that received an acceptance email! I was waitlisted, so not the best news, but not a rejection. Trying to stay hopeful for a spot.

If anyone else is familiar with other ABSN programs in NC I'd love to hear about them! UNC was the only school I applied to and I am pretty lost now.
