Hi y'all, I thought I would start a thread for those who are applying to the ABSN nursing program for next Summer! Good luck to everyone applying!! :)

Finishing up my application today as well! Very nervous but good luck!

Good luck to you, too!! I’ve reread my essay so many times. I’m paranoid that my credentials are not nearly enough compared to the previous cohorts I’ve read on here ?

Hello all, I also submitted my application as well. I am nervous, but also hopeful, eager, and excited. I wanted to stop in and wish everyone the best of luck at acceptance. May the wait pass by quickly.

Yeah I'm also really nervous- I've already been wait listed for the fall cohort so I really just want something to work out! We all got this & just have to stay positive and follow our dream ?

Hi! I applied as well. After reading other cohort's threads I am very nervous! I also work with a nurse who went to UNC's ABSN program and she had a 4.0 at NC State and was also valedictorian. I am just hoping for the best!

Did anyone apply elsewhere?

Those are impressive stats, It is easy to feel under-qualified, but remain hopeful. My GPA isn’t that high. I am also hoping for the best, but attempting to remain realistic.
Personally, I did not apply elsewhere. UNC is my dream school. Does anyone else care to share their GPA info or a little about themselves?

My GPA is a 3.56 undergrad. Nursing prereqs are all A's and one B in A&P 1. I've worked as a CNA for over a year and have 7 years of healthcare experience (starting in the front desk, after college worked as an analyst for two hospitals) before deciding to go back for nursing.

Impressive! There’s no need to feel any bit unqualified.

As for me, I had a 3.7 undergrad GPA and A’s in the prerequisites, but not nearly the healthcare experience.
