Dec 4, 201015 yr Hey sewnew, Thanks for the info again! When it comes to tuition,do you (or anyone else here for that matter) know how they expect it paid i.e. do they want everything upfront,or do they allow installment plans? And if you don't pay everything straight away, will they kick u out mid-semester,or will e.g. a hold be placed barring future registration?Any insight on this would be tremendously appreciated?

I know tuition is due the first day of class and then they will charge you late fees after that. I know holds are placed on delinquent accounts, but I am not sure if they will kick you out of class. That seems kind of drastic to me. Here is the phone number for UMB student billing. Perhaps they can give you some answers on Monday.410-706-2930

Apr 10, 201115 yr Hi, I am new on this site and am looking into applying at UMB SON for Spring 2011. I see you got accepted for Spring 2011. Would you mind sharing your GPA? I would just like to get a general idea of what it was last year. Thank you in advance.

I would just like to get a general idea of what it was last year. Thank you in advance.Honestly - telling you are exact GPA's, histories, and TEAS scores is not going to tell you much at all - i can say that we all had at least the min requirements that UMB SON states that one needs to apply. Student4Life (along with others) have tried to figure who all is going to get in based upon GPA, TEAS/NET, history a few different times and is never able to get it all right - there is no perfect formula. Going back to my first UG and comments i heard from many college requiters - they are looking for motivated well rounded indis. I know of people that were perfect on paper w/ GPA and NET/TEAS scores and have not gotten into UMB, but have else where. Do your best in classes, show up to open houses and make sure that your essay stands out and breathe deeply - that is all that i can/will say as far as the "formula" of getting in to UMB SON.

UMB has a system that cannot be solved by past performance, there is no set goal.It frustrated me to no end to ask an admissions rep at an open house or transfer day for insight on what GPA I should go for, only to hear "the best you can in response" (being still a little wet behind the ears from my last deployment, I was very much used to clear cut goals, and since I couldn't get a "get this grade and youre in" I made my own goal). I am accepted but I haven't met my goal yet, but with a bit of luck I should by mid-May.Anything above a 3.0 gets a look, the higher you get the better, but not necessarily the better your odds.
Has anyone else applied?...what were your TEASE scores?
