2014 UF's Generic BSN program

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if anyone is applying to UF for the generic fall bsn? I'm kind of nervous this year. Last year I was rejected because I took my last pre-req over summer and they wouldn't accept the completion because it was past spring semester. Anyways, I'm a transfer student from a Florida college. I have a 3.75 cumulative gpa and a 4.0 prereq gpa. Also, I dont know if it looks any better when they review my application but I stacked all my prereqs together and managed to get A's in all of them. I just know the feeling of being rejected and i'm hoping this will be could enough to get me in. Let me know what you guys think.

Hi @ejillest ! Thank you for your kind words! & sure no prob! My gpa was a 3.65 and I was a member of my college's honor society, PTK. I also had a letter of rec from my chemistry professor and one from the Assistant Dean. I also had a lot of volunteer hours from a hospital where I live. :)

Let me know if you have any other questions!

@vixxc hey thanks! I have been trying to see if I have a fair chance at getting accepted. I realllly want to go :/ if I get all As next semester I will finish with a cumulative gpa of 3.61.. I can also get letters of recommendations by doctors and nurses I work with and I work in an oncology hematology office. But I'm not sure if that's good enough/: what do you think?? I feel like there is such a range of students that get accepted that I really don't know ? I signed up for an information session at UM next semester hopefully they answer some of the MANY questions I have lol. Do you recommend that I should be doing something more to help my chances? I have to wait until march anyways so I have some time to get stuff done! Lol. Thanks so much for your help!! I greatly appreciate it ?

Best of luck to everyone hoping to start in the fall! I'm finishing the accelerated BSN program at UF this August and am selling my textbooks. I'll be graduating first in my class, and will toss in all of my study guides as well. I have every book from the initial package, Mosby videos, and extra books they require in later semesters. I spent about $1600 on everything and it is all in perfect condition. If interested, email me an offer or ask questions at [email protected] (I don't check this site as much as I used to). Thanks and good luck, future gatoRNurses!
