2014 UF's Generic BSN program

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if anyone is applying to UF for the generic fall bsn? I'm kind of nervous this year. Last year I was rejected because I took my last pre-req over summer and they wouldn't accept the completion because it was past spring semester. Anyways, I'm a transfer student from a Florida college. I have a 3.75 cumulative gpa and a 4.0 prereq gpa. Also, I dont know if it looks any better when they review my application but I stacked all my prereqs together and managed to get A's in all of them. I just know the feeling of being rejected and i'm hoping this will be could enough to get me in. Let me know what you guys think.

@sulygirl was your ISIS online application updated? or does it still say "has been referred to your college for final decision"?

hopefully! @flg8or, keep me updated!

I live about 5 hours away from UF and still didn't receive anything today! I'm hoping tomorrow is the day...

It still says referred to your college for final decision.

Thank you flg8or for your encouraging words. I felt better after I moped around the whole afternoon and ate comfort food... Now off to plan b

Hopefully everyone will have their letters tomorrow.

I'm sorry to hear about your news, but good luck with your plan B! I'm sure you'll still end up just as successful!

No matter what we are all going to be nurses! And amazing ones I'm sure :)

My friend emailed the advisor at UF Kenneth Foote and apparently the letters went out Monday so I don't know why its taking so long :(

I really hope tomorrow is the day because I'm going out of the country on vacation this Saturday and I have to let UM know if I accept their admission by tomorrow.

UF is my dream school but I can't wait forever :(

Your in a win-win situation. University of Miami is a great school, sure it is a little expensive and the campus security could be better. They are ranked in Florida #2 in the nursing program . Whatever you choose both schools are great. Unfortunately, I only applied to University of Florida because of driving distance. So, I accepted at CF's their ADN program and bridge to a BSN degree, maybe try University of Florida again.

Thank you ufgatr

Ahhhh! So nervous today! Hoping today is the day! I've been seeing UF stuff everywhere and it's taunting me! LOLOL

I got denied as well guys :(

so I will be attending UM, goodluck to you all!

& remember to stay positive and look at the bigger picture!

Oh goodness vixxc, really sorry to hear that :( but congrats on UM  I finally got mine today (Saturday)! I got accepted....but I want to wish you all the best at whatever you choose to do! :) We'll all be awesome nurses!!

Congrats to anyone who got in! I got placed on the waitlist and I'm a current UF student. Has anyone heard anything about how the waitlist works? Or has anyone got off the waitlist in the past? I'm trying to remain hopeful =)

Hey!! New on this thread vixxc sorry to hear about UF but that's great that you got accepted to UM!! I want to apply for fall 2015 to UM because unfortunately I have 2 pre requisites to take this fall so now I have to wait:/ But can I ask what your gpa is? And did you do anything that made you stand out as an applicant to UM? For example letters of recs or volunteer??

Thank you!!
