UCF Basic BSN Applicants Spring 2015 Cocoa/ Daytona Campus

Hello there!

I will be applying to UCF's Basic BSN program that starts in the spring of 2015 at the Cocoa and Daytona campuses. The application window is from July 15th to August 16th. Anyone else planning to apply? :)

Anyone going to Daytona looking for roommates?

I'm not looking for a roommate but if the Daytona students want to meet up ahead of time too it would be cool to start getting to know each other!

I got in as well! I MIGHT be looking for a roommate in Daytona, depending how the whole working while being in nursing school works out. I am down with meeting up before classes starts :)

I go to the Daytona campus already for other courses, I'll keep an eye out for someone looking for a roommate for ya.

We should definitely all meet up sometime! :)

Can you tell me about the cost of the first semester? (i.e.- books, tuition, uniforms, other stuff). Thanks

Unfortunately I don't really remember exactly what the total cost was for the first semester :(

I want to say that for classes alone it was maybe around 2,000$ or so (please don't quote me) uniforms are 49.95$ for each top and for each pant. So that will cost about a minimum of 100 or so. I got 2 sets of each so I didn't have to wash them every day (which came in very useful for me). For textbooks the first semester is the most expensive because some of the books you use for multiple classes, but I don't remember around what is cost, sorry.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!

Congrats to all of you who got accepted! Getting ready for the semester to begin can be a stressful time but you can do it :) I'll answer as many questions as I can for you guys! I guess we will all meet you soon!

So... does anyone want to start a Facebook group? I notice the other classes have them, one for Cocoa and one for Daytona.

Hello bunch of successful individuals ;)!

I'm concern with the money that the first semester will cost and I have a question:

Is the money covering the tuition and books for the first semester due up front (before you start the semester which means out of pocket) Or the schools takes the money out , after you register for class and from the first semester financial AID and student loans?

Thank you!

I just made one. Search UCF Daytona Nursing Students 2015. The url is Facebook.com/ucfnursing2015

So for books, they are separate from tuition. Meaning they give you a book list of what you need and you buy them from wherever you want (yay, Amazon!). I do know that there is a certain due date for the tuition payment (not sure when that is). If you call a transfer advisor they can answer all of your questions! Or Maureen might have your answer! I paid out of pocket so I'm sorry I cant offer you any more answers!

You guys are on it! I recommend that you change the name to class of 2016, seeing as how that is the year you guys will be graduating :) might save a few people from confusion.

Also... A suggestion is to make it as a group instead of a page so you can keep the communication or pictures (or whatever you guys post) between only you guys! ;)
