UAB Fall 2014 NP Programs

Congratz everyone else. I will be moving on now. I'm not quite sure why I didn't get in but we can't win them all. Good luck to you all!

Well, since it's 4:30 pm, I'm assuming no one is at the school entering info at this time of day. I guess that means I didn't get in. Congratulations to everyone that did. I've enjoyed the long wait with you all!

I don't think it's safe to call it done, yet! In the last cycle, new people were added for a few days. Let me go look.

It's just real frustrating. I have a VERY high GPA, excellent references, and 15 years experience. If I don't get in I will be very confused.

Let me clarify...I graduated with my associates 15 years ago. I finished my BSN with a perfect GPA in December.

Here's the timeline from last time (for Summer 2014 entry):

12/3/13 - People first able to create BlazerNET ID

12/4/13 - People who already had access to BN were able to see their program listed for grad school

12/5/13 - People who didn't have access before were suddenly able to login

12/6/13 - People who couldn't login on 12/5 were now suddenly able to login, too

12/7/13 - More people just now being able to login

12/8/13 - More people just now being able to login

So, it can definitely take a few days for them to get through the list of actual admits.

Thank you, Scarykarrey. That definitely makes me feel better. I guess I just got my hopes up when i saw other people already knew. I'm a little impatient I guess.

Oh god, believe me I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN ABOUT IMPATIENCE.

If I don't get in this time, I'm going to have to go break some china plates or something. I've been waiting a long time.

So apparently I shouldn't have given up hope so soon. I just rechecked my account about an hour and a half ago and I was prompted to update my old BlazerNet ID. When I went in I had the future students tab listed and was accepted into the Adult-Gerontology NP Primary Care program. Although this was my second choice, I'm still happy that I was accepted.

Mine finally says Family Nurse Practitioner!!!!! I will have one year of ICU experience by the time the program starts, so I'm surprised I got in at all. Congrats to everyone else as well! Hopefully they will keep updating.
