TWU's online FNP Spring 2021 program

Hi everyone!

I just got accepted to Texas Woman's University's online FNP Program that starts Spring 2021. I was wondering who else is out there that plans on starting the program.

Also, any current students who have tips/general advice about the program would be greatly appreciated. Excited and nervous to start this journey!

I just applied yesterday and I am kind of nervous.  I feel like I may be a little late applying.   How long did it take for you to hear back with the acceptance letter?

I also feel like I did things a little backwards.   I applied, but haven’t had the phone meeting with advisor, but it has been scheduled for tomorrow.

What additional paperwork do they request?

Do you mind telling me your last 60cr GPA was? And experience?

I applied third week in August, I still haven't heard anything yet. I got my BSN through TWU and my last 60 is horrible. I did speak to the adviser and she said I was kinda late in applying and it is more like first come first serve. But alot of times, people drop at the last minute and we may get in. So it is possible that we may be getting notifications very late. :(

Congrats! May I ask how long did you wait before getting the acceptance status? Really hope to get in for Spring 2021 :(

@ItzNikki I went to TWU for my BSN too!  

That’s the same I have been thinking.  Maybe it is first come, first served.  When I spoke to the advisor he made it sound like there was still hope.  Supposedly they have received 250 application, but can only admit 120.

Knowing that people have been accepted since this Summer makes me very nervous.  My GPA in my last 60 was barely enough to meet the requirement.

Are you going to apply to any other programs?

Wow I didn't know people got accepted since Summer? no wonder adviser said I was late. Hmmm but 250 applicants isn't too bad though and I do see people that got in Spring 2021 was offered to start in fall 2020 also.  I remember our BSN program had ALOT more applicants. I wish they would accept more students ?

I also applied to TWU houston program but I picked online program as my first choice. I am also looking to apply to UTA, chamberlain & waldern but since they have second start date, I decided to wait for TWU first before I apply to other schools. 

How about you? Have you applied elsewhere? Did the adviser tell you when you will be expecting to hear back?

I applied to UTA.  But TWU is my first choice.

The adviser told me that maybe in about a month. However,  I didn’t talk to the lady who usually does the initial interviews.  The adviser I talked to was just covering for her, since she had been out of the office for a few days.

So it makes me wonder now if he truly did know About time frames or if he was just giving it his best guess.

Ah okay, good to know.  Hope we get in somewhere.. I will keep you posted once I hear back from them.

I applied earlier this month and just found out I was accepted for the Spring 2021 term. I honestly thought this semester would have been full.

I’ve been checking webadvisor everyday... and still no change for me ?

I found out on Monday through my email, and then they called me on Tuesday. They wanted to make sure I was interested by October 5th, because they had a waitlist. 
 

I hope you hear something soon.

Found out last week I was accepted to TWU Houston campus hybrid program. Not sure how different it is to the online program.

Congratulations!  I’m glad you got in ?.

I should’ve applied to the Houston campus.

I talked to the enrollment advisor last week, and she said that they had pretty much selected the the accepted students before I applied.

she told me my application hasn’t even been opened/reviewed.

 

I was accepted at a different program.


she told me not to lose hope.  That a number of students do not attend for whatever reason.

So, I’m still hopeful.  If not the Spring, hopefully in the Summer.  But in the meantime, I am in a program.
