TWU Spring 2010

Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Spring of 2010? Just thought that I would start a group for all of us hopefuls so we could share information and have a way to communicate with each other.

Have you taken your HESI A2 yet? Have you taken all of your pre-reqs? If not, what do you have left to take?

I have taken all of my pre-reqs, and I just took my HESI yesterday. I didn't think it was bad at all, but I prepared for it for about 3 weeks.

If you haven't noticed, TWU has made some slight changes that I think some people will not be happy with. They are taking into consideration the first grade made at pre-req attempts for several of the classes like A&P, micro, and another class. What do you think of this? I wonder how it will change the applicants chances of getting in?

Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!

Guys...email dated 2:44 yesterday...can't believe I didn't check my email...I"m IN the weekend program!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That is awesome news! Way to go! :yeah:

lhojo , our instructor at the parkland campus doesn't provide anything more than you already have. she does have notes, which she basically reads to us in class. these notes are straight from the book and often are direct quotes from the book. sorry, we're getting by using the study quide and a lot of reading and rereading. i think that's what they intend. this is after all a weedout class.

i read on the twu website that they have a faculty-led study abroad program for nursing...i couldn't find any other information though, does anybody know anything about it? or know someone who has done it?

Congrats!:yeah:

Plasma, any details about what you need to do before you start the program? Just curious about orientation and things like that.

Hey guys! I just joined this forum..I have my first degree in accounting and i did apply for the weekend and regular program.just got a congratulatory email for the weekend program...I am so excited but at the same time not so sure about the online classes.I am a classroom person so i don't know how this will play out.

Does anyone know someone that's already in the program? I hope all the weekend hopefuls get their letters!!!!!!

Oh wow that's great!!!I'm so excited for you! This is wonderful. That means the traditional pool should be hearing pretty soon! This is exciting one person already finding out if they got into the program!

I thought they were sending out letters?Or did they change it emails now?

Well email was send yesterday, got the snail mail today. Nothing on procedures yet...just have to mail your acceptance by oct 23.

They have to mail the weekend program letters by the 23rd?Or traditional?

CONGRATULATIONS PLASMA AND CHIZYANN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU. :hpygrp:

mau00, I think plasma means that the weekend program has to notify TWU by Oct 23. I hope that doesn't mean that the regular program won't find out until after the 23rd?!?!? I can't wait that long. I had thought for some reason that the weekend program finds out 1 week before the regulars do. Did anyone somehow get this impression.

Thanks guys! i know how nerve wrecking it is waiting for this news to come! The good news is coming ...just hang in there for a little bit....
