TWU Spring 2010

Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Spring of 2010? Just thought that I would start a group for all of us hopefuls so we could share information and have a way to communicate with each other.

Have you taken your HESI A2 yet? Have you taken all of your pre-reqs? If not, what do you have left to take?

I have taken all of my pre-reqs, and I just took my HESI yesterday. I didn't think it was bad at all, but I prepared for it for about 3 weeks.

If you haven't noticed, TWU has made some slight changes that I think some people will not be happy with. They are taking into consideration the first grade made at pre-req attempts for several of the classes like A&P, micro, and another class. What do you think of this? I wonder how it will change the applicants chances of getting in?

Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!

Not a word here-

Nope, me neither.

Not a word here either. I can't believe the end of October is coming up quicker and quicker every day.

does anyone know for sure when we are supposed to find out? i heard some people say they had heard end of october?

That's what I've heard too, I was told that my one of the counselors in the School of Nursing, so I assume that's probably close to when their expecting to mail out letter. But never give up hope, I think Elizabelle said there is a guy in our Patho class that was called 3 days before classes started and got in, so you never know.

I have not heard anything either. not a word. I wonder all the time if they have looked at my file already or not :)

I'm getting so tired of waiting!!! :-(

Rha Hea, don't get discouraged. I know that having patience in a time like this is basically not possible, but try to find something else to focus on. Right now my focus is on my Patho class (if I don't, I'll fail it) and scrapbooking pictures of my little boy. Is there anything that you can focus on that will take your mind off of it?

me too. It's emotionally draining. I'm ready to hear from TWU and UTA. UTA sent me an email saying it was going to take another month even though they already said the letters would be mailed at the end of september! So, I have been stalking the mail man for nothing for the past two weeks!

butterfly_journey, you are right! Thank goodness I'm taking 3 classes. btw, I love scrapbooking too! I'm a Creative Memories consultant.

I'm pretty sure twu said end of october... i might be wrong though

Yeah, I'm taking Patho in Denton along with three Psych courses (for my minor). I'm just having the hardest time staying motivated! For the last two years straight I've had the "if I don't make an A I'll die" thing going on...and I'm just so tired!!!! :-(

I applied to Collin County Community College's nursing program as a back-up and I am #4 on the waitlist! So I'm just feeling like if I don't get in TWU then I'm not getting in anywhere! It's just really stressful...but you guys know how it feels!
