The mandatory overtime ban starts in July in Pennsylvania. That is a big deal.

I wish I could believe the local health care gods are going to comply. I see limit testing and fanagaling in my crystal ball. We mandate nearly every day.

I agree KittyKat. We have ratios explicitly stated in our contract and they're violated all the time because they include langage for exceptions and loopholes. I'll try to find a link, but I seem to remember this piece of legislation including the same type of loopholes hospital mgt will use to their advantage.
Maybe we'll both be wrong . . . . .. :)

Thank you for the thumbs up...hard fought victory over many years of planting seeds--what got it passed was focus on patient safety.
