Trigonometry and Nursing

I am curious.......for what degree in nursing would this be a required course? An acquaintance of mine is taking this and I believe she is going for BSN. Don't you just need college level math? I thought in Arizona you did not even need College Algebra. Am I mistaken?? Isn't the order of math.....college algrebra, calculus, then trig?

Of course, she could be taking it because she WANTS to. ........NAH!:)

Thanks!

We're required to have algebra, statistics, and at least one other math (higher level than algebra).

I took trig a few years ago when I wasn't sure of what my major was, but they accepted it for my BSN program. :chuckle

... didn't want to intimidate you with my awesome mind boggling trig skills...

Hahahahahahahahahaha! :)

My ADN program required College Algebra (Tennessee). The BSN program required Statistics (Texas). You might go online to a few of the local schools to look at their catalogs.

I have a minor in applied math. Its amazing how much you will use math once you take it. Math will open your eyes to a whole new world..................

You are fortunate to have the type of mind that can appreciate the higher math. We aren't all so enlightened by the exposure, unfortunately!
