tonight is my first night working as an RN!

I am on training for six weeks, and this is the first week. I am very nervous because I dont' know how I am gonna do it. I did not have much sleep today, I take care of my toddler, so I slept when she slept from 2-5:30pm I just fed her dinner, ate myself and now in an hour and a half I will be at the hospital working.

Wish me luck!:specs:

Good luck to you!!!!

The night shift was awesome!!!! I couldn't belive that I made it thru a 12 hour night shift.

The night is a lot calmer than during the day. My preceptor is very patient with me, and very willing to teach me.

There is a lot of down time after giving meds, and I just go on the internet or talk to the other nurses.

For a new grad like me, I feel that it is best working at night. Just 5 more weeks to go.

P.S. one thing that I have no clue, is what to write in my progress notes. I feel incompentent that I don't know what to write!! and when I do write something, I always have to add things or take away things or I am writing irrelevant facts.... we write by exception.

but that is basically it. & I am supper happy about the floor, only 4-5 patients per nurse.
