My second child just got diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Thank goodness he was not in DKA and was able to come home.
Lantus and Novolog until the pump and CGMS gets here. Sad mommy.

You have been presented with a huge challenge, both as a nurse and a mother.
You are a professional that can handle it.
Juvenile diabetes is a b*tch.
Good luck, you've got this:yes:

I'm sorry. This stinks. You've got this, though. (((Hugs)))

Man… that's a lot to handle. Just think, though, how lucky your kid is to have a nurse for a mom who knows how to manage their condition and you obviously already know how to handle it because of your other child with the diagnosis. Best of luck to you. *Sending good Thoughts

I'm sorry. Your kid is fortunate to have you but there's getting around the suckage and how it must feel. Sending hugs and support.
