Tmh

IS their nursing salary still $17.50 an hour? Or has that changed? There is a hospital in my hometown who pays $19.00 an hour plus $3.23 evening shift and $4.25 night shift differentials.

But I REALLY want to work at TMH at the women's pavillion, and the NICU would be my first choice as I was in that NICU for 90 days when born... so the NICU has a special place in my heart.

Just wondering if anyone know if the pay rate was still $17.50 and if they knew the shift differentials?

Last time I heard the going rate for a new grad was $18 and some change for new grads

Reps from TMH came to talk to my class earlier this semester and IIRC the starting rate for new grads is 18 and something (.30 maybe?) and the shift differentials are +10% nights and +15% weekends (and both, I believe, for weekend nights).

I may be slightly off, but that is the ballpark. It's more than $17.50 now but it's less than $20.

Thats not awful I dont suppose.... I'd rather work there than the hospital in my hometown....even if the pay is less.

I worked as a nurse extern for a year @ tmh while I was in nursing school. (MSICU) great hospital! Even though Capitol regional medical center pays more, it sux there. People seem to simply care more @ tmh. If I had stayed in tally after school I would have worked @ tmh.
