Discussion

This is what I did, and I passed!!!

1- I studied for about a month a couple hours a day

2- I took Kaplan and bought the Hurst book, my Kaplan Q bank average was 64%, and question trainer scores ranged from 48% to 63%

3- I really studied drugs, diabetes management, autonomic dysreflexia, Lithium levels and I memorized ALL lab values.

4- I was scared crapless from the time I answered my first question until I found out I passed 3 days later.

5- I answered 183 questions before it shut off. No math, 1 select all that apply, lots of teaching and "who would you see first" questions. I was certain I failed...

6- Hardest part of the test was prioritizing. Kaplan teaches you to use ABC's however, I got questions where all answers would have to do with circulation, or all would be airway...It was tough. Just don't read into the question and assume that all patient's are serious.

7- Different NCLEX books will give different lab values- I studied the values from Kaplan 2008 book.

Hope this gives some comfort to those who took it and thought they failed!
