Hi I am a newly licensed LPN and I just started at my current job at a LTC facility. I was completing my orientation on my third day the nurse I am supposed to he orienting with said you ate going to be doing this side by yourself. Of course I full of mixed emotions. My problem is I can't clock in to work and have gill out my Time on a paper which I was told sometimes they say they say they font get it. I can't login to the computer to give meds or chart because they said that will take another two weeks so I have to log under someone else's name. I have not filled out and w4 form or abything. Time went in last Saturday and I am thinking how am I going to get paid and they don't have any of this information. I asked to speak with the human resources because when I came before to meet with her she left and supposedly forgot she had a meeting with me. She said she was too busy to talk. I feel overwhelmed , patients complaining threatening to call state and there is a lot of things that they are just throwing me at and I don't want to loose my license . Is this normal I am not sure but my gut telling me that it is not. I don't want to quit but all the signs telling my to just leave . please help.

While I understand your need for a paycheck, this place does not sound like it is safe for your license. My professional advice to you is quit. Quit now, without so much as a notice. That is simply unsafe for you and your patients. So sorry you are having to go through that! Good luck!

Also know that not all LTC are like this. I work for a great one.

As soon as I heard that you were asked to log in and document under someone elses name I knew that you need to quit.
