Things to do to past the time...

Best thing ever thought of tonight:

Prank call your sister hospital with inappropriate health related questions! Literally almost peed my pants from laughing so hard!

I always like to put apple juice in a urine specimen container and ask "who's urine is this?" The. I smell of it and drink it and say "oh, that's room 12's!" It always gets some good laughs:)

Take an extra bed alarms or wheelchair alarms, pull the pin, put in the tube system and send away.

Butter on the ear phone... Genius.. Our secretary is going to hate us tonight haha

We use muco....

what was your gpa at research college of nursing accelerated program? im thinking about applying.??

We had a co worker one night pretend she put a foley in herself and put apple juice in the tubing and bag. Proceeded to drink apple juice out of bottom of foley bag and said "wow my urine is sweet maybe I am diabetic." Had another co worker believing she drank her own urine.

One night one of our Arabic co workers wrote everyone name on the board in Arabic. A doc walked up and asked who has room xxx and we looked at the phone number by the name and said M has that room. He asked if the names were written in Arabic and J said "Nope dr they are written in English." The doc just shook his head and laughed and walked away.

Another co worker put a bedpan on the desk at work with kleenex in it and some curry soup and it looked like poop.

We had a doc who wrote for a bag of chips stat and we sent the order to pharmacy and thought they would call us and ask us what was going on but no one called us. We were disappointed.

We have called bed board and had fake pt sent to the beeper with every diagnosis under the sun and in isolation.

coban sports...hacky sack, basketball, golf or baseball with a cane

Where do you all work where you have time for these things?

...and are you hiring?

These are funny!

Omg, I'm totally going to do the foley trick!

As a farewell gift to a TPPP nurse during my month long hospital stay myself and another nurse were plotting how I could make this guys last day hell. We came up with apple juice in a yellow top (post cath urine sample), buzzing the call bell every 10mins and an out of character handover saying I had been agitated, swearing etc....I was one day post op after brain surgery

Fill a urine cup with apple juice, "trip" and spill it on your co-worker and watch the shock/horror ensue! Hahaha

I like to mess with my favorite clerks by calling out from an empty patient room saying "I can't breeeeath" or "I think I'm having a heart attack" in my best little old lady voice. Sometimes it's funny but more often it's disturbing when they do nothing :(
