Democrats are excited about Harris and as of this writing she's raised 100 million dollars since Biden announced he was dropping out and throwing his support behind her.
Quote "Republicans, I worry, vastly underestimate Kamala Harris. They don't think very highly of her. They don't think she's terribly bright. When you or I bring up Kamala Harris' name in Republican circles, people laugh. It's immediately a punchline," Cruz said Monday on his podcast "Verdict with Ted Cruz." Cruz warned against Republicans preemptively celebrating a Trump-Vance win months out from the election, arguing Democrats and the media will promote Harris as an "historic" candidate.

Quote Democratic lawmakers, organizers, and potential rivals rallied around Vice President Kamala Harris' candidacy less than a day after President Biden stepped out of the race and put his support behind her as the presidential nominee. She appears on a glide path to the nomination when delegates meet in Chicago next month.

Cruz has a point, that she's female and a woman of color is something that will be a point of excitement for a lot of people, there is no getting around that.

The more I read about Josh Shapiro, gov. of Pennsylvania, the more he seems like a good choice for VP. Experienced, comes from a key swing state, and seems to be well liked by his constituents.

Told my godmother in NJ last week Gov. Josh Shapiro would be good balance to her as young, articulate, no known scandals, well liked in 5 county Philadelphia area where he was a Montgomery County Commisioner prior to PA AG > Governor. He works well with both sides of isle in PA; got I-95 reopened in ONE week after tractor trailer overturned damaging Cottman ave overpass stopping truck traffic to NY so has broader name recognition.
Kamala's known him > 10 years. She's campaigned in Philly area 5 times this year, last time July 13th speaking before Philadelphia town hall in effort to mobilize Asian American voters (watch video) where Shapiro ate with her at Philly's Reading Terminal Market PA's delegeates fully supported her nomination yesterday; our 19 electoral college votes an asset.
Eric Holder, Covington Tapped to Vet Harris Vice President Contenders
CA Gov.Gavin Newsome has alienated some voters per national polls and pundits. Ill Gov. J.B Pritzker 19 electoral votes a plus. Former astronaut AZ Senator Mark Kelly's 11 votes helpful + fact his wife Gabby Gifford was shot while in Congress could help counter Trumps assassination attempt and immigration issue. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer 16 votes a plus, but 2 women running for highest office in U.S not acceptable to many middle Americans, not on my bingo card.
Who do you see in running as VP candidate?
She's on the campaign trail. She's glowing, she's coherent and intelligent. How refreshing. The crowd obviously is very supportive.
"DEI hiring" touted on Republican side. Well in healthcare, DEI hiring is important to help meet the needs of our multicultural patients/clients. Been doing DEI since 2002 when I became Home Health Central Intake Manager --only had 11 females in dept. Based hiring on best qualified, need to diversify add men, Spanish, Russian and Chinese speaking language to answer incoming phone calls from referral sources and clients as I had none of those skills. VP Business/Finance acknowledged my efforts as increased referrals from 50 to 125+ day (along with marketing team) after 2 years.
We need to meet AMERICA's citizens needs- Kamala just one part of that solution.
RNC not prepared to address ALL citizens need along with an articulate WOMAN who doesn't need to resort to name calling as secured in her skin. Femininomion. 🙂

Kamala is articulate, brings her facts and grilling technique when US Senator --remember her interaction with AG Barr during Muller hearing

I do agree with Ted Cruz (and a few other people) on this: Do NOT underestimate her. She can be very articulate and coherent. She can be exactly the opposite too. Politically, she's an excellent tactician and strategist. Within the Dem circles, she does have that reputation. As of this writing, reportedly she has already secured enough delegates to secure the Democratic Party nomination. Doing that and raising as much money as she has doesn't occur overnight. Becoming the presumptive nominee that quickly takes some planning. She does have a shot at winning the election, but it's not going to be an easy win.
No matter how things develop from here forward, I quite suspect we're going to have a VERY interesting election season.
I can understand the Republicans and their talk about Harris being a "DEI VP" (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) I.e. she's not white and Biden chose her for a certain demographic, and question her qualifications.
But this man on the news basically is saying she performed oral sex to get where she is. The other white man laughed but at least the woman had the decency to say "that was harsh".
Really, I don't mind mud being slung but that's uncalled for.
Quote A Fox News interview from 2021, in which Sen. JD Vance smeared Vice President Kamala Harris as one of a group of "childless cat ladies," has resurfaced since he became the Republican vice presidential nominee, sparking widespread anger.

We live in that culture where women long worked in environments where men leveraged raises and promotions for sexual favors. It's rape adjacent, the women may feel like they don't have a choice if they really need the job.
Similarly, the DEI claim is just the offspring of the racist notion that POC were most likely not the best qualified candidates for a specific position or title. In actuality, Harris is better educated than Trump and more experienced than Trump's VP.
I think that until Trump's campaign can come up with some clear messaging about Harris that we will continue to see his supporters and sychophants making it up as they go along. In the meantime, Harris has people chanting "we won't go back" when she talks about Trump. She's not shy about talking about Trump's character flaws and deficiencies as a candidate.

Yep. A photo of her and Jeffery Epstein is making the rounds too. But it's a doctored up picture where they took her husband out. They are going low, but look at their leader, he offers no moral compass for them to emulate.

I will ask this genuine question: why are you supporting Kamla Harris?
