Teas test prep

Featured Replies

Has anyone noticed that the McGraw Hill practice tests in the Math section seem to have a number of mistakes? I showed them to my husband and he concurred. I hope the actual TEAS tests don't have these.

I just wanted to share with everyone in the Tampa Bay area that I found AN AWESOME tutor for helping people prepare for the TEAS! They helped me raise my score from 61% to a 84%!!! I am SOOO excited!

The tutor company is called Seeds of Knowledge. It is in Palm Harbor. (I'm sure you could find their website if you do a search for it.) It is not the cheapest tutoring in the world, but OMG, it is worth EVERY penny! The tutor there is fabulous!

I hope that this helps someone else as much as it helped me!

I need someone to email me the mcgraw practice book... it will not let me download it :(

Can someone please re-up a different link cause the rapidshare link is dead

The McGraw book is cheap... only $15 or so if you buy it from an online store. I found the science parts are really vague . It tells you subjects but doesn't explain them so you can REALLY 100% understand (if you don't already), and it doesn't go very in-depth. I tried the ATI practice test online just now and bombed the science part, plus there were things on there not in the book. I think my A&P textbook would help me more with the science part.

Anyway good luck to all taking the test soon. I am freaking out because I have to take it in a week.:eek::eek: I will be OK in English and Math, struggling with science (my A&P class was over a year ago:crying2:)

Hi Everyone! I was scheduled to take the Teas version 4.0 this Saturday but recieved an e-mail earlier this week that it was rescheduled to next month! At first I was bummed out because i CAN'T WAIT TO GET IT OVER WITH but I guess it's good I have more time to study now. Any advice? I've studied the ATI book as well as the McGraw book for the science section but still am very worried for science. Any good websites or tips?!

I've been trying to follow the link to download but it doesnt work. I've also tried looking it up and no luck, can anyone email it to me? I lost my job so i'm trying to watch every penny I spend.

specifically, what should I study in science?

Does anybody know how the TEAS test is in comparison to the NLN-RN exam? I've already taken the NLN exam and really well, but now I've signed up to take the the TEAS in mid-December and don't know where to start! Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated :)

I agree... I just took it this morning. We were only given a two weeks heads up, so I had no time to even study for it. I went into it thinking the science part would be easiest for me. I have gotten A's in all my science classes - Anatomy & Physiology, microbiology, chemistry. I got to the science part and was just completely guessing on a ton of them. I HATE math and struggle with that more than anything else in this world, and I honestly think I did better on the math portion than I did on the science... Ugh. Have to wait til next week to see my results... :(
