Taking my nclex in 3 days....

God it is killing me, I am taking my nclex in 3 days. This has been killing for a long time and I just want it to be over with already. I am starting to get nervous, and having feelings of what if I don't pass. I am scheduled to take my test on Monday and I am starting to second guess myself whether not I am prepared. If you guys really want to know the truth, I have been studying since Nov. 16, my last day of school. I have been doing it nonstop with little breaks. It kills me that I have been studying for so long. But, now that I have three days left I am mainly trying to brush on areas that I am having difficulty with. I am mainly reviewing Saunders, but I just finished the ncsbn online review with learnext. com.

I will tell you guys more, I know I read about someone else who had a similar story. Basically I graduated in my class with honors, and I even gave a speech at my graduation. Feelings of embarrassment come to me if I fail. I am taking this test for myself, and not for anyone, but I just hope I pass. I really want to get my life started. But, I guess I am just feeling normal if I have emotions of failure, embarrassment, and unpreparedness going into the nclex. Did you guys feel that way once you took your nclex. Everyone around me tells me that I will pass, but you really don't know. Thanks for any kind advice, and hopefully my head will clear by Monday. Please pray for me.

I'll pray for you. :saint: I hope you achieve a passing result!

Stressful for sure..I cried on the way to my test, I was so scared. But you have done everything you can to get ready. Don't over study these last few days. Do practice questions. Someone from this forum told me when you get in front of the computer smile at it. Sounds silly but it helped. Take a deep breath and just take your test :) Best wishes.

I feel exactly like you do! Im taking mine in 4 days and all of the sudden Im second guessing myself.. up to this point I realized I have stuided like crazy but dont have a % of really how Im doing so I paid for Kaplan Qbank and found Im only getting 60%, so now I dont know , I feel depressed.

Took my NCLEX today stoped at 85 questions.

I had 20-30 select all that apply. Usually missed those questions when studing.:icon_roll

Last week I debated on rescheduling but went ahead and took the test.

I also studied with kaplins q bank and was scoring in the 70%-80% a few 60%. Im freaking out I just keep telling myself whats the worst thing that can happen? Fail and retest in 45 days. I also graudated with honors 3rd in my class. The downfall is Im working as a GVN and everyone will know I failed becaure they revoke your permit when you don't pass.

Keep studying and brush up in the areas you feel inadequate in. Let me know how yopu do. I'll be praying for my fellow NCLEX testers.;)

Wow...please let us know how you did ok. How many pharmacology questions did they ask you if you don't mind me asking, also what meds were they? One more thing, did you experience alot of med surg questions? thanks. I will pray for you...I know you will pass.

I have tomorrow and then monday will be my day. I am planning to take tomorrow of with just a small tinge of studying, and relax the rest of the day.

PLEASE DON'T FREAK!!!! I can honestly say I wasn't "sure" about 1 single question I answered on that blasted test. I had tons of "select all that apply" (of which I am TERRIBLE at), several dosage calculations, and of the pharm questions? Did not know a ONE. In fact, half-way through the test I was certain we didn't cover any of that in school. I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown when the cpu shut down at 85 questions. I was CERTAIN I had failed, drove home, and cried. Guess what? I PASSED!!! I am not sure how, or what they were looking for, but I did it. The long, draw out point I'm trying to make is that most of us are so intimidated by that test that we start feeling like we have failed long before we sit down to take it. Just remember to eliminate the LEAST RIGHT OPTIONS if you are unable to nail the correct one. That way, you'll at least give yourself a better probability of "guessing" the right answer. I know you know that already, but I know how you feel. It's an awful feeling. But, the rewards are immeasurable when you find out you passed. I cried then, too.;)

:twocents: My test was heavy med surg. I think I had questions over all the systems. My friend says that good when your test jumps aroung like that means your probally geting them right.:specs: Don't know if thats true??? I hope. Did not have any calculation questions, lots of pharm can't remember any particular meds that part was a blur, just remember sitting at the computer thinking OK what does this med do??

At any rate I spent most of my last min studing looking at acid base balance and culture. Did not have any questions on those two areas.:o

Know your lab Values, and try not to over study. I went to a live review and the instructer said "do not study the day before your test" but I had to do what felt right for me and I studyed, but not extensivly.;)

Good Luck, someone on another posting said I may have my quick results posted tomorrow. I hope so. I think the wait is harder than the test.

I also take my test on monday, Ive been reviewing practice questions, and looking over all the body systems from Lippincotts review. I know how you feel, I'm really nervous, too. You should do just fine. Good luck!

Good luck to you and please do not overstudy. Right before i walked into the Pearson Vue testing center I called my sister I said

"I hope I got what it take to pass this test" she said "you don't have anything to worry about you've already got it now you need to apply it"

I feel like 10,000 lbs have been lifted off my back.

Im sorry you have to wait 4 weeks I would have gone crazy!

Good luck again

Just got my results in from the pearson vue web site and I PASSED!!!!

Still does not show on my states BNE web site that was the best $7.95 I ever spent. Hope your test went well! Let me know!!

Congrats Congrats emerald!! All that hard work payed off!! Yeah!! Now you are a fully licensed nurse!!

Ok...here is my deal, I took my test today at 2pm. I went 85 questions in and finished at 4pm. Once I got to question 85 I tried with all my might to answer it correctly and hopefully the computer would stop, and it did! I feel relief now that I have finished my test! I just want to get back to life now and pray that I will pass. I am hoping that I will pass, I feel that I knew about 60-70 of the material. I got no calculations at all...what a trip! Although I got 3-5 pharm questions, and I knew all but one. I got alot of priority, about 6-10 all that apply, about several lab value questions, and I noticed a couple maternity questions. Yeah...I was nervous to where my fingers had the jitters. Heck, when I finished the test I happy to have it over with, but I was still nervous just filling out the survey. Kind of funnny. Guess it is just overwhelming that I have been studying for soo long and finally take the test and be done with it. Hopefully I passed.
