does it take longer to update if you failed?

Published

So I took the Nclex yesterday (6/27) at 8am. I had all 265 questions so I really don't know how I did. My friend took hers today at 8am and her status on the board of nursing updated to active within a few hours. I took mine 24 hours after hers and it still says temporary, my state switches it to inactive if you fail. So my question is, does it take longer for them to update the board of nursing site if you failed?

I wish someone would answer because I would like to know this question too

No one but the BoN knows for sure. Delays in updating could be got an infinite number of reasons. Did you try contacting the BoN? Does your state participate in quick results?

I did contact them and they said "they are updated on the website as they are received" which makes sense and I totally get that but I asked her how then did someone who took it a full day after me have results up the same day when its been more than 48 hours for mine? and all she said to that was that they were updated in the order they are received :grumpy:. and no I don't have quick results in my state

It's possible your results are on hold. Until the hold is lifted, your BON won't get any results

nobody that I know who also took it Monday have gotten their results yet, but people who tested Tuesday/Wednesday already know so I'm guessing at this point it has to be like a technical thing? It's the only logical thing I can think of. I've probably refreshed my state's BON site atleast 1000 times lol

Are you in Ohio.... I swear the same thing is happening to me. I've checked so many times. I tested Monday still nothing then as of a few hours ago the Ohio board of nursing is not even in the drop box for me too choose as an option. I'm just wondering what's going on. Like geeze did I do that bad. Lol. I mean does it really take this long to see that I failed. Ugh

I tested Monday in VA and no results yet and we don't have 48 hour quick results either ughhhhh

For VA you can try calling the BON. They have a system where you can enter some of your information and it will tell you if your license is active or not.
