Survived the first week!

But already got a 3% deduction:crying2: I got the times wrong for lab and showed up an hour late! OMG I was so mad at myself. The teacher thought I was laying dead in a ditch or something! Ah well, I'll survive and pass anyways! I am doing all the extra credit they offer anyway, so that 3% will be taken away wih thoe points anyway! How did everyone else do?

It was rough... but I survived! I have lectures on Tuesdays 1-4, clinicals on Wednesdays, and learning lab on Thursdays 9-12. For the first week instead of going to clinicals we were to attend an extra lecture/lab on either Thurs or Fri from 7:30-2:00. That extra class was a killer. I'm not used to waking up that early. After our 30 min lunch, I could hardly concentrate. My head was hurting due to lack of sleep. So after work last night, I went to bed at 9. And look at me now... up at 5am because my body is used to waking up early. I was planning on sleeping in today!!! lol Oh well... I have a lot of textbook reading and assignments to do online before my Tue lecture because we have quizzes each week (except for exam week) to make sure we are doing our readings. The quizzes are over our lecture and lab reading assignments which really blows because now I have to have everything done by lecture on Tuesdays instead of some on Thursdays. Maybe it is better that way because when I start clinicals on Wednesdays, I probably wouldn't have time to finish up the reading assignments.

Anyway, congrats on making it through the first week. I'm pretty sure the 3% reduction will not hurt your final grade if you continue to do well on everything else! There are plenty of graded assignments to bring it up. I wish we have extra credit! I love extra credit!!! :)

First week was rough. Three lectures and a ton of reading. Clinicals start on Tuesday. Just ready to be done. :D

My first 2 weeks were not bad at all, but the coming week is rough. I have a ton if reading, NCLEX questions due, clinical on Tues & Wed, paper due, online tests, a quiz in class and 2 quizzes online, presentation but the good thing is my stress level is in control. I stay organize, I have a planner on my laptop that tell me exactly what I need to do each day, I exercise 30- 90 minutes/day, stay in touch with few classmates to make sure I get everything correctly, and the most important is to study everyday to keep the materials for the test less heavy. I learn my mistake from last semester! Hopefully this will be a good semester for me and everyone :)

Ughh this is still my last vacation week! We go back this week coming up after the holiday. I can't wait for this year to be over and be a senior :) Congrats everyone on making it through the first week!

@Browneyes3000 how do you find the time for working out? I've been doing that and i'm exhausted.

I wake up early and go to bed at 11 or 12pm to have more time to study and work out. I was tired when I first started but my body get used to it. Also, I always keep positive thinking, I never allow myself to say negative stuff like " I cannot do it" or "it is too hard"... :nono:

I'm already exhausted and its our second week. I try and stay positive that I'm almost done and the payoff is near but I'm tired all the time. I think I need caffeine IVPB lol
