Welcome to allnurses mtg. I'll move this to the UK forum. I'm not familiar enough with the UK nursing levels to offer any advice here.

Congrats on the job!

Don't go fretting about your confidence, if you got the job, they think you already have it. I'm a senior staff nurse in A&E and supervise junior staff and students, I occasionally have problems with taking my eye off the ball, but as a general rule all you have to do is know what you are talking about and you're more than half the way there! Colour should never come into it!

a lot will come with confidence on doing the job, Take time to learn, don't push unless you have to push and make yourself approachable. They mush think you are able to do the job because they gave you the job and colour doesn't or shouldn't come into it

Well done :)

Thanks for the advise guys, I really need it.God bless!

Hi,

Congratulations on your promotion. Can I suggest you go on the "LEO" course or something similar, most trusts offer this and it is normally free. Normally it is over 3 days and I believe you have to be F grade or above ( I know F grade is thing of the past) Some of the course like lots of them is a bit useless but they do offer some valid pointers towards leadership.
