SUNY Downstate

Hi skyleap I am pre-pre CRNA and looking at different programs. If you don't mind can you share your stats and why you chose to apply to downstate... I heard not so great things about the program ( since it lost its designation a while back). how did your interview go what did they ask you???

Hello pinkpig. SUNNY Downstate was put on probation by AANA on April 10, 2008. Probation lasted one year and on 04/2009 the program was reviewed and given 6 years accreditation. I have heard many things but I guess I will never know for sure what caused their shut down. What really matters to me is the fact that they have obviously fixed whatever problem they had, otherwise they would not have been granted accreditation!

I applied there because they are geographically convenient and financially friendly. The fact that their class size is small is also a plus for me.

My interview is on January 6. I hope it goes well!!!

I submitted my whole application package to SUNY Downstate around December 15th, 2010. All of you that have been offered an interview when did you submit your application? Congrats btw! :) I'm a little torn because I'm taking Microbiology & College Math for SUNY Downstate when I don't even know if I got into it yet and SUNY Downstate said I will know of my decision in May sometime! -_- if anyone can let me any information I would really appreciate it :)

are these interviews for the standard 4 year bsn or for the 15 month accelerated BSN?
