2010 Summer GEM at Rush

Hi jessica75, I'm trying to apply at Rush. I already got accepted to a different school but since I already have my BS, a masters might be a cheaper route. Anywho I'm just barely starting the process....

Anywho, I called them and asked them a different question but they mentioned that interviews are not until Jan so I imagine it's still too early to get a call for an interview.

I am kinda nervous since I got my Bachelor from other country, and it's from totally different area.

I am in the application process for this program as well. I am just waiting on 2 LORs, which those I asked claimed they sent them back in September! I am getting nervous about it! My program GPA is about a 3.9 as I am finishing a few courses. I spoke with someone in the admissions office and was informed that as long as I finish the pre-reqs before the first day that it would be fine! I am so excited, I grew up in Chicago but moved away about 10 years ago. Rush seems like the perfect program!

Yes, I am nervous, too.

It is already the end of November and only 1 more month to go.

Your GPA is really good! Did you finish all pre-reqs? which classes do you have to finish? I have one pre-req to take this coming spring semester.

I actually applied for the winter, but postponed since I couldn't register for that one pre-req.

I think you will be fine as long as you keep your GPA~

I have not heard from Rush yet.

They will start calling for an interview in the beginning of January.

Btw, Why do you need to send all letter again?

So I just sent in my application literally a few minutes ago and I'm so glad I'm done with it. Now, I guess we're all just waiting........ Good luck to everyone and happy new year!!!!!

Has anyone heard anything back for summer 2010? Or know when they start to contact for interviews?

I just talked to Rush admission for GEM. They are still reviewing all applications. Since the admission process is no longer rolling admission, they waited until Jan. 2nd and started reviewing on this week .

They will start sending a letter and a call for an interview. (This part isn't 100% sure. They called for a interview for last semester though as per many posting)

I will also let all you know once I have any update. If anyone has any, please let me know, too.

I know it's only the 18th but man... I'm so anxious about the interviews. Can't wait.... Anyone heard anything yet???

Anywho.... I can't believe they waited until the 2nd to review hundreds of applications... I bet its keeping them very busy... =)

They postponed the date to contact selected applicants for an interview from 15th to 20th. Yeah, there are many more applicants this year, and much more competitive!!

Wha? Well, 6 more days...... That sucks... Oh well..
