I wonder why we don't make a "study materials" sticky for this forum. It has to be the most common question.

I used Saunders Comprehensive for NCLEX-RN (2nd and 3rd ed) and the Saunders Q and A FOr NCLEX-RN 3rd ed for my PN and RN. Have not try Kaplan so I don't know the difference.

I used HCC's study plan and materials. The study guide told me what to do each day (really kept me focused). They will email you the plan immediately. They used NSNA endorsed review books . I could not have passed the exam without them!

Hi, I studied off the Exam Cram book for my nclex pn, for some reason the CD did not work on my desktop or my laptop. I found the questions extremely difficult and was getting half of them correct out of all questions for all the tests. What I did was read the rationales and study them. Their lab values that they give you in the front of the book are also a little off from other texts. I never heard of learningext.com, but I studied from KAPLAN and Saunders 3rd edition (which I read from front to back), which were both really good. I really recommend Kaplan, it teaches you strategies to help you pass. Saunders comes with a CD Rom with over 3000 questions to practice in study mode, quiz mode, or test mode. I recommend both. You'll do fine.

I check Kaplan side. For PN they only have Qbank for around $70.00.
Do you know any other resourses for PN from Kaplan?
Also, can you give me advice.
I have a really hard time remembering medications names. What is the best way to learn pharmacology and be ready for Pharmacological questions.

I felt what helped me learn the drugs was not studying individual drugs. But instead study different classification of drugs, such as lols- beta blockers, etc. That helped with side effects and such. Hope this helps.
