I was having this discussion with a friend, but we later agree to to these. Hope this will benefit all nurses student still in school or awaiting to take NCLEX. either that the lung has re-expanded or there is an occlusion in the tubing...The water seal chamber should tidal, and if it bubbles that may indicate an air leak!

make sure that the legs remain straight or the pt in straight position....?? to prevent clot... :uhoh3:

check their pulses distal to graft!
ASSESS CIRCULATION IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PRIORITY FOR THE FIRST 48HRS AFTER THE FPBG. BCOZ GRAFT OCCLUSION THE MOST COMPLICATION AFTER THE FPBG/CABG.
