Spring 2017 Chat

Now that January is here, I thought I'd start a thread where we can support and encourage each other through our Spring semester, similar to our Fall thread, but with a bit more chit chat. What's your schedule look like? Any other goals you're working on?

I go back on the 17th, though I have a Phi Theta Kappa meeting on the 13th.

My schedule is:

A&P II

Microbio

Federal Government

World Religions

The last two are online.

Right now I'm trying to lose this holiday weight, so I've started running again (it burns). I graduate at the end of this year! In December I'll have my EMT-B certification and my Associates of Science in Biology. I'll also be applying to nursing school (application deadline is August 1), so it's going to be a really exciting (busy) year for me! I'm hoping to use my EMT-B cert to become an ED tech during the summers.

I look forward to chatting with you guys this semester!

Infirmiere, congrats! What exciting news!

@ItsThatJenGirl, I just got back from the HESI today. I left with a 90.5 overall as well, with RC 90, Vocab 98, Grammar 96, and stupid math at 78. At least it's over with and I can focus on finishing this semester!

How funny! Great job!

I got my acceptance to UTA today. I'm still processing this. I'm excited and happy, but it doesn't feel real.

Girl!!! YES! That's so exciting! ❤️ Is it your first choice?

It is. I feel like someone is going to say just kidding, you suck.

No way! You made it! And you should be doubly proud, they only select a handful, I think they said 10 from SA at a time. It's a huge accomplishment í ½í¸

Well I think the acceptance is just to the school and I still have to wait for the nursing school (it's kinda confusing, because the email was from the nursing school and the orientation is "nursing orientation"). So I'm trying not to get too excited.

Is it a paper letter or an email? I know they've started sending acceptance emails out this week. If I could figure out how to show you a picture, I would show you my uta acceptance letter, it doesn't say nursing anywhere on it, so I think if yours is talking about nursing orientation (does it refer to it as CONHI 1000?) that you are definitely in.

Yep, that's the orientation class they told me to take.

yes ma'am, I will do that now!

This Spring quarter I'm taking this awkward little class called Psychology 198: Special Topics in Healthcare. I transferred to my current school with only a couple classes finished, but my current school requires a 5 credit Psych 100 class and the one I had taken at my old school was only 4. So they are letting me take this 1 credit class instead of the 5 credit class. That is officially the last of my prerequisites and I have an appointment with my adviser (who is also my Psych 198 teacher) to look over my nursing application. :) I'm really excited.

Thanks guys! It's *just* an acceptance to the University, but I'm still going to celebrate that milestone!
