Spring 2007 Applicants!

Thought I would see who all is anxiously awaiting their acceptance for Spring 2007. I am applying to both UTA and TCC but am definitely hoping for UTA. I got my letter requesting an interview yesterday so I'm very excited to have made it through one more step in the process!

Good luck to all!!

Congratulations! I am waiting to find out if I got into Lamar University in Beaumont, for Spring 2007 (BSN).

Somewhat off topic, but can someone tell me if you are allowed (in general) to apply while still taking your prerequisite courses (i.e. pharmacology, and pathophysiologic)?

If you don't mind me asking, what was your prerequisite GPA? If you don't mind could you give me both your overall GPA and science related GPA

Most programs require you to have the pre-reqs finished. But, it varies from program to program.

Some inside scoop for your interview= they just got a HUGE grant to fund a "virtual hospital." They already have multi-thousand dollar dummies that can generate dysrhythmias, simulate codes, etc., but this building will house a whole hospital.

I would definitely let them know that you are excited about "real time" opportunities to practice that allow you to think and learn BEFORE you actually touch a patient. I think they are really empowering students by doing this.

My science GPA was a 4.0, and my overall was 3.65. That's just counting the classes that they require for prerecs. My overall is a little higher, but has lots of other random classes in it. Good luck to you!!
