does anyone know of a computer program or a book/workbook with medical terms, common phrases, etc in spanish?
i work at a hospital where nearly 50% of my pt's are spanish speaking only, and would really like to brush up on my terminology.
thanks in advance!

Here's a cool site. You can download and then print these off . He also included audio so you can hear how to correctly speak the questions and phrases.

Such a cool site, but I'm reading through some of them, and loved this:
I only speak a little spanish, so please answer my questions with yes or no.

My problem isn't finding the phrases I need to say...it's when they ANSWER me, at full speed, in whatever dialect, using words I don't know! So, I've asked about their chest pain---and then they TELL me!
And I end up just as confused as before I started.

I have also used http://www.dictionary.com
It has a translator that you can type in what you want and it will translate. I have used it to make handout sheets to give patients.

I usually start off by telling my patients my name and that I know a LITTLE bit of Spanish and that it is very bad Spanish. And when I say all that IN Spanish, then they know I'm not lying about the "muy malo" Spanish. That makes them laugh and they usually start answering slowly with one or two word answers so I can process and understand what they told me. Those little plastic pocket Spanish books for healthcare workers are great to keep with you at work.
thank you all for all of the advice! i truly appreciate your time!
Oh, and the name question was really funny! I caught that one as well
