So hard to concentrate..

I try so hard to wipe out all the distractors, but it seems like people are out to see me fail and I buy into it..I try to study atleast 4 hrs a day at home (with small children) and at least 3 hrs at Barnes & Noble (alone). it seems like the "boyfriend": comes home late on purpose so i want have enough time to go to B&N..its like I don't know what do..it's hard to concentrate I'm also a test repeater sorry just venting....How do u guys study alone?

    That was my problem also. I have a 3 yr old. When I was home with her I put on Nickjr and put in sum ear plugs and go to work. It helped a get deal. Good luck!

    I study at work on my breaks and lunch. My 2 and a half year old is pretty good about playing solo. I just make sure I take sufficient breaks. Also she goes to bed with her dad (later than I do) and so I study in the mornings before she wakes up. I use her nap times as study time as well.

    3 kids that are out of school for summer. I know where you are coming from. My husband is self employed and likes alot of attention. I am just now trying to study.. I have been out of school over a month!

    It is harder to find the time to study when you have many other obligations. Younger children require lots of attention and direction. If you can manage to go to bed early with your kids and then get back up for a few hours to study, I think this will help. It's not easy but it can be done. Nap when the kids are napping and take a couple of no study days so you don't become mentally/physically fatigued. Try to sit down with your husband and express your concerns with him and what you need from him at this time. Don't forget to thank him for his support that he has already given. Good luck to you.:)

    If you don't have time to study or can't concentrate, it will take longer or you won't be successful. Remember this is for you. The boyfriend might not pan out in the long run, but the nursing license is important for your future and that of your children. I always found that getting up early in the morning before the rest of the family made for good study time.
