What school are you waiting for? I'm in the Bay area, and I have not heard from my JC yet, but I heard that they just got funding to have 2 admissions a year, and will be admiting between 120-190 this year (rumors have different #'s per semester). If the 190 is true, I think almost everyone that wants in and qualifies will get in! Don't lose hope!

I hope you hear better news from the other school. Good luck! Our school currently had room for 13 this semester for the LPN.They usually have 20 spots per semester. I won't apply until next fall.

I'm sorry for you. Hopefully your next letter will bring better news. :) I know it's hard right now, but all things do happen for a reason. Keep your chin up!

I got my letter....I am on the wait list......72!!!! Our programs only starts once a year and has only forty seats....so I am looking at about a two year wait..........I have one last school to hear from. I am only partly depressed....if I hear no from them too, I may have to take a few days off work and have some, "Stay in bed and pout therapy":bluecry1: :cry: :no:

If it makes you feel better to have a pitty party for a few days then do so. Personally it would hurt my spirit to think so negatively so I am not the type.

IF you do not get into the other schools then look at the rejections in another way. Think about all the things you could not do if you start right now rather then focus on those things (such as starting Nursing school in the Fall) you will be missing out on.

For me, I would not be able to run in the two marathons I want to participate in this Fall, so now I can. I also would not be able to work full-time and save up more money toward Nursing School expenses if I start in the Fall, but now I can.

The list goes on for me how about you? You might be surprised at the number of opportunities you have that are just as good as starting Nursing School soon, if not better. Good luck to you!

Good luck! My best friend's hubby went through the program at HSU. I used to live in Eureka (for 10 yrs)...hope everything works out for you with the other schools, because I know just how hard you have worked. :)

Don't woory, i was #75 when they started the fall acceptance and my school only takes 40 and i got in!!! many people change their mind or don't have all their prereqs or GPA. Keep praying!!
