Select all that apply q's

Just took the nclex.. shut off at 75.. not sure what to think??? Had 2 pharm q's that i've never even seen before and I have a master of science degree in basic medical sciences lol Anyways, do we still get credit if we marked a few right on the "select all that apply" q's even if we didnt mark all of the right ones???? Or is the answer just all wrong??

No partial credit, unfortunately.

Good luck to you!

I had about 7-8 of them in a row...I was horrified because I did poorly with those during the practice tests. Passed, though...you probably did, too!

guys, what about if you did not encounter a select all that apply question and had only one computation? what does this mean?:o

It means nothing. For some reason, the computer was gracious enough not to torture you any further. Each test is individualized and some people don't get any math, either. I was on the other horrible end of the spectrum where I got one easy math question (my first question) and about 7 or 8 pick all that apply in a row...towards the end of my exam. Wasn't nice of that computer at all...:angryfire

im still getting anxious though because most of the guys i know who passed the NCLEX keep on saying that the question on select all that apply is an index actually for passing the exam..i had one computation, easy but i dint get the correct answer because i overlooked one given for the input..i'm really really upset..

anyway, thanks for the encouragement..i still have to wait for my result this month..i'm crossing my fingers..

You must live in Cally, the horrible state that makes you wait until you are on life support or retirement to get your results. It is hard, I know, but try not to take anyone else's experience and make it yours. There is one person here that mentioned she got about 15 or so pick alls, so imagine that one! I would have jumped through the roof it it were me! I remember reliving each of my questions also and cringing at my insanity, but, I passed, most people do, in fact, pass, and it can happen for you, too. Keep us posted, or chat with us when you get stressed.

i really find relief in your replies to me.. and i thank you for that.. yeah, California is the state i applied for my nclex thing..if only i happen to be an immigrant there,i would'nt have to wait long..lolz..

i am still a bum because i have to wait for my result first. i know i should stick to those who give encouragement so i would'nt feel stressed a lot..very funny..lolz.. anyway, i wish i passed so i can start planning ahead for my future..i wanted to work abroad and provide more comfortable life for my family..God help me..

I am glad that you are finding solice in my insanity I know how you feel; life stands still at this moment until you know your score. I cried, stayed in bed, and made my husband completely miserable, but didn't have the opportunity to do it as long as those who live in California. They need to be shot...seriously.

7 or 8 all that apply.. oh heck .. i would fail ... i hate those things.. i will get them because i am so bad at them.. just my luck.... i either pick to many or pick not enough answers... eek

Well, this is how I attacked them (it is unfortunate that they never tell us which questions are right or wrong) during NCLEX...and it came to my head during the exam; write down the first 4 choices and imagine yourself following those steps in the question. The ones you don't choose, cross a line through them (they will not allow you to erase) and then add the others and eliminate in the same process. Again, I do not know if ANY of them were right or wrong, but, I did pass with minimum questions, so, SOMETHING went right. I am horrible at them as well...:angryfire
