I start my LPN program next week, and I'm curious to know what sort of supplies I should bring? I have stocked up on notecards as suggested to me, but other than the normal pen and paper, what should I bring as far as school supplies? I am so excited to start! I haven't gone to school in 13 years!
I'm not too worried about a stethoscope or scrubs yet as clinicals don't start until December, and I'm sure I will be given that information as it comes along. :-)

Now not sure if you going for looseleaf and a binder with dividers or spiral subject notebooks.
I'm getting spiral 5 subject notebooks and using empty binders to keep returned work and handouts.
Trying to keep it light and simple!

Great info! I will be starting in Jan 2014 and this will definitely come in handy :)
I graduated a few weeks ago. I'd add:
Ibuprofen
No perishable snacks-- granola bars, dried fruit, etc
Actual water bottles
Keep an extra pair of scrubs in your car during clinicals. Things, like code browns, happen!
Keep sanitary pads/tampons in your car or bag
A mini notebook for clinicals so you can take notes
A clipboard with built in storage.
When u get to clinicals--keep a bag with just your clinical stuff in it
Perfume/body spray...
Lysol disinfectant spray and/or cavi wipes--c. Diff and noro virus also happen! You want to be able to clean your shoes
Good luck to you!

A watch with a second hand, long sleeve shirts to wear under your scrubs, cute stud earrings, a medium sized pencil bag and travel sized deodorant. Reinforced notebook paper. Breath spray is good to have too. Hope this helps :)

This is what my list typically looks like.
Lecture: notebook, folders, pencils, pens, highlighters, index cards.
Clinical: watch with second hand, clipboard, notebook, folder, pens, ibuprofen, tampons, contact solution and extra contacts just in case, and things like stethoscope, penlight, bandage scissors, measuring tape, which your school may give you. And obviously scrubs and a bag for your stuff. I always recommend putting money in your id badge holder, and keeping wallets and valuables in your car.
