Hello school nurses! I am a school nurse trying to conduct some research on how much school nurses make (hourly/salary/number of hours worked annually) and if you are part of a union (specifically your own union or the teachers union) Thank you in advance for any information.

Hello!
I am new to school nursing (first year) 7 weeks in!:) yay
I work 196 days (10 paid vacation) so I guess 186 days. 7.5 hour days. My annual salary is $46,030 which comes out to be about $31.31.
Not apart of union (yet) but I believe nurses in my district can join the NEA.
Thank you for responding! What state and area do you live in?

Somewhere on here, there is a big thread about salary. I'll try to find it for you and bump it to the top.
**Just found it and moved it to the top for you**
Thank you!

I am in Florida, work 196 days per year, 7.25 hours per day. I make $29.78 per hour. I have been a school nurse since 2014. I am also part of my local CWA union that is offered to those who are eligible to join in my school district. I did work at a charter school for 5.5 years and was not part of a union. When I decided to go back to my local school district, I chose to become part of the union.
