running out of time =/

So I graduated in may and have waited several months to schedule my NCLEX date because typically I am afraid to take it. I finally decided to schedule it about three weeks ago for the twenty fourth of this month...nine days away. Basically the fewer days till the big test the more edgy I am becoming. I am not sure if I am studying right or for that matter...studying enough. I feel as though I could never study enough for this test. This is overwhelming me...what if I take the test and know none of the questions. The thought of failing is horrible and I just want this to be all done with. I'm running out of time and I still don't feel even half way ready, and I feel if I move the date I will never get around to working up the nerves just to take it.

Lol read about ECT you know that think that they shock the brain for depression with...lol I had so many questions about that. No but really it was hard I not going to lie. There where a lot of unfamiliar drugs, diseases, and some labs. I did that random facts thing that the other person posted above and it helped me review before the test...I liked it. Good luck and study hard...I used saunders comprehensive review, it worked great and I loved the CD because it like gives you a lot of questions with rationals.

good luck you can do it....... just study study study except the night before relax and get good night sleep..... and remember pray it will help....

good luck:yeah:

PVT WORKED!! I JUST FOUND OUT THAT I PASSED!!! I AM AN RN NOW!! My results were actually posted before the 48 hours were up. I can now finally relax and not worry about studying all the time and now I can start my new job. It is a major sigh of relief.

Awesome so excited for you.

Thank you. Have you heard anything about your results yet?

No I just tried that trick thing so far.

Hello krazykate.....CONGRATS! :yeah:I can not wait to be in your shoes. :crying2:Pass Pass Pass!!!!. I will retest the beginning of Nov. I have been reading the Saunders Book word for work taking my notes to review... on my good days a 100 Questions a day. Are there any suggestions that you can give me to help me master Nclex and did you take any on line review courses?

Nope no on-line courses, but you know I did practice my labs a lot and there implications. I also looked on the random facts blog on here that some one else said that they used and it helped me see what i was missing with my studying. Some thing that I didn't do, that I think would have helped me was to review the pathology of different diseases. There where a lot of diseases on there that I had never heard of before. You need to get some kind of simple common drug flash cards to review, also. I used some and it helped, because there are also a lot of random drug questions on there so I would focus on commonly used ones and there side effects, action, and labs that you would check before giving them... (ex: lasix-check potassium) Hope this helped, if there is anything else I'm here for you. Good luck and pray hard!

Thanks crazykate. I want to thank those of you who are dedicated to all nurses and even though you have been successful, you have not forgotten about those of use who are still in the struggle of mastering Nclex. Your kindness is greatly appreciated!:yeah::redbeathe
