Who is in this with me?

I start that class March 24. Can you PM me the TA so I can avoid her. I am so trying to be finished already!! Good luck with getting things resolved and kudos to you for going to the professor and the dean...

Oh please tell me this is not the TA I think it is! I had her once already and that was enough. I have this class starting in 2 weeks and if I have her will cry :(

Same here. I am also confused- I don't have the APA book anymore, but according to the Purdue OWL site (which is supposed to be based on the most current APA info available), you still do the "retrieved from" thing. Am I missing something?

Dream,

You are correct. Where I had the problem was: every single class, before this one, I was told to write it as retrieved on ( date ) from http:// website. This is 5th edition, not 6th edition. The 6th edition dropped the date part- that's where I got nailed. However, I must tell you, the professor was nasty and condescending in her reply, but the TA gave me 1 point back on each the DB and assignment for week 2, and agreed to take off points thereafter in the end. Week 3 grading was fair. My errors were errors.

Yes, that is correct that the main difference between the 5th and 6th edition is that the 6th APA edition dropped the date it was retrieved.

I rarely used my book so those of you who pitched yours should still be fine. Just use the OWL website.

Those of you struggling...take a deep breath. Half of the battle is figuring out what your TA wants. If you drop the class, you run the risk of getting the same TA or someone just as quirky. It's 5 weeks of your life and then it will be done. Over. Gone.

Hang in there everyone. I know many of you are questioning why you are doing this but you will not regret it. Take it from someone who has been an RN for over 30 years and finally went back for a BSN. That BSN after your name DOES make a difference!
