RN working as an aide?

I am an RN with a narcotic restriction on my license so my hours are limited at the facility I work. I can't find anyone else to hire me. My employer says I can work the floor as an aide but I would not get RN wages, they would pay me as an aide. Is this allowed? I'm in Ohio.

Did they hire you as an aide?

Have you considered clinic work? Urgent care centers and such?

It's allowed if you agree to it, but as I understand it, you'd still be held to the standard of your license in terms of judgement and practice (unlike an actual UAP who has no license). So that's something to be cautious of- your assignment might be different and your pay would be less, but you'd still be responsible for acting with the professional judgement and skill of a nurse. Personally, I'd find it pretty scary to be in that situation- a lot of responsibility and very little authority or compensation.

They hired me as an aide(but my badge says RN) at aide pay and job description for 90 days and said they would reevaluate. They just gave me an RN position in admissions but few guaranteed hours. They said I could still work as an aide at aide pay if I wanted.

I have tried everywhere. It is hard to even get an interview.
