RN to BSN

Published

Hello, this is my first post and I am not sure what I am doing, but the reason I am on this site was because I am trying to find a recommended RN to BSN program on line. I am currently in a program that does not give much time off and really like to take vacations with out a computer to the hip!

I am now doing well in a 4 wk per class program, Does anyone know of a program that allows for time off?

How is Excelsiar?

Thanks

Hi. Moving to the Distance learning forum.

The Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences RN to BSN program has a nice Xmas break, but that's it, not much time in between semesters at all.

Good luck in finding something that fits.

i am almost done with my nursing program and i am too looking at bsn programs. i think i have narrowed it down to utmb (university of texas medical branch) or ut el paso online. i am running into having to take extra religion courses and things like that. so i am trying to stay away from any program where i have to start taking pre- classes over again. i have well over 100 credits and i think i am about done with prerequisites...

i feel your pain in finding a rn to bsn thats inexpensive and dont require a whole lot ofextra classes. i also want to do it in a yr-2 semesters, however the 2 colleges i like are very expensive. thomas jeffferson univ and univ of maryland. recently, i saw an ad for wilminton college in de that said that you can complete your rn to bsn in 12 months and tuition was reasonable at $280/credit. however, in talking to the counselor she said the nursing courses can be completed in 12 months-that includes summer courses, but there are an additional 15 credits that i would have to take at the college to get my degree. after 20 yrs in nursing, i will have to take human world views 3500bc-1650 ad and the 2nd part of the course hwv 1650ad to present. i also have to take academic writing-then i will be awarded my bsn. i am wondering if it will be worth it.
