Rio Hondo Fall 2019 ADN Program

I'm starting this thread to keep communication with other Rio Hondo nursing program applicants (Fall 2019). The deadline to submit a completed application is this Friday 3/8/19, anyone else out there applied yet?

Hi!

I went to Rio Hondo yesterday to apply to, but their selection is getting tough.

I was told by the counselor to even try to take CNA license or any other to gain more points. (which I could not)

Did you apply anywhere else also?

Is it? I feel like the majority of nursing programs are getting really tough to get into. Do you have an AA degree? Or any work experience?

I also applied at LAC College of Nursing & Allied Health, Trade Tech, Mt. St. Mary’s, CSULB, USC, SFSU, & will apply to ELAC in May. What about you?

Is this your first year to apply? This is my first year.

I don't have AA degree, also no experience. So, I just took BLS and attached anyways.

I could not apply LACC since one class is in progress... maybe apply next time if I did not get in anywhere this time.

I applied at Rio Hondo and GCC so far. Planning to apply to PCC in April. ELAC in May, LA county in June...

Hope we can get in !

I have AA and completed everything. I apply to LACC, LASW, LA PIERCE, Glendale, EAST LA and PCC will start app on April. I want to open more options. Thats why I apply multiple places. I mailed my app for RIO HONDO. Let me know if you guys receive anything.

?? Applied to Rio Hondo for the first time! Good luck everyone! I also applied to LBCC, Santa Ana, and Cerritos.

Hi everyone!

Quick question-- did anyone that mailed in their app call to confirm receipt?

I mailed mine out on the 2/25, but just wondering if it would be okay to call them?

Hi. I mailed my app as well. I am not sure but definitely call later then.

Hi everyone, I just called to ask when we would start hearing back about acceptances/rejections. They said it would be during the 2nd week of April (not too far now!).

Acceptances will be sent through a letter in the mail. Rejections will be through email.

Hi everyone, I also applied for fall 2019. I only applied to Rio and Citrus and I’m getting anxious now that it’s getting closer. It’s so nerve wrecking just waiting...response it’s just around the corner, GOOD LUCK to EVERYONE. Hope we get in.
