  1. I’m currently on my senior year as a nursing student... on my last semester. My cohort was very lucky that our Professors were on top of things once COVID hit. We immediately began online classes, and within a few weeks we were doing virtual, that consisted of case studies, virtual simulations. Once we got the okay to return to clinicals we were ready, however they gave us the option to proceed or wait it out till this was all over (still going). Those who wanted to wait could continue with another cohort while the rest of us continued...luckily no one wanted to wait, we are nurse in training so that was never a choice for me or any of my classmates. We are not allowed to go into COVID rooms or treat patients with COVID or any isolation room, but the clinical experience is till there. We were giving the option to get the vaccine but we had to get it on our own time, school is not providing it. Some of got it, some still haven’t it’s been a mess trying to get an appointment for some, I was lucky and was able to get it. But it’s not mandatory. Overall the whole process has been interesting, but luckily we are still pushing thru...can’t say that for other nursing programs. Our school has been able keep accepting new students, which is great, god knows we need more nurses. So my advise, if you get accepted into a program take it, just be safe wear your mask, keep your distance and make sure you practice good hygiene specially in clinicals. They will not make you work with patient who they know have COVID, and if you follow protocol you’ll be safe.
  2. Hi everyone, new to this feed... I also applied to Citrus just got an email that I'm an alternate does anyone know how it works. I feel sick to my stomach being on hold....

  10. I heard that they email those who did not get excepted and a letter to those who do... if you look at past threads of students who were waiting for a response, those who got a no were sent an email and those who got excepted got a letter... I just want yo know already...
  11. Hi everyone, so glad I found this thread.... I’m 43 just finished my pre-reqs, put in my applications and I’m awaiting a response to enter nursing school. This has been a concern of mine since I started this journey, I constantly question my age “am I too old to do this”, but my will is definitely stronger then my doubts (and honestly my age is the only thing that worries me, academically I’m pretty good) I’ve given it my all and I am proud of what I have accomplished so far. Seeing this thread and knowing that at an older age it can and has been done is so encouraging, thanks everyone hope you can understand how good i feel this very moment to know I am not alone and that it has been done and could be done... so ready and excited to start this new chapter in my life.
  12. Hi everyone, I also applied for fall 2019. I only applied to Rio and Citrus and I’m getting anxious now that it’s getting closer. It’s so nerve wrecking just waiting...response it’s just around the corner, GOOD LUCK to EVERYONE. Hope we get in.
