Question: how would you go about giving a two-week notice for a nurse who works weekends only? Start the notice on the next weekend you work or right away (say, a Tuesday, even though you don't work until the following weekend)??

Out of consideration, I would give my notice promptly. Remember, the 2 week notice is so that your employer can fill your position. The sooner the better. Not to mention, not many HR departments or Managers are working weekends to give notice to.
I was thinking right away, but I was confused because even though you "give" two weeks notice, you are not actually "working" the two weeks because if you give notice on Tuesday, the 2 weeks starts that day (but you don't come to work again until the weekend coming up).
Well, even in this scenario, you do end up working 2 actual weekends, I guess, right?? I am so confused!

In the notice, just be sure to state which date will be your last working day. Call it a notice rather than a two week notice of resignation.

Sat and Sun (weekend days) are your week. Give them 2 of them, so...2 weekends.

I resigned from a weekends-only job a few months ago.
My last day of full-time employment with this company was to be November 28, so I submitted my resignation notice on November 14, which was exactly 2 weeks previous.
