my research title talks about the effects of having a "lover" on the academic performance of the nursing students on my school....

I'm sorry but I don't think that this topic would be taken very seriously by your nursing faculty. Try to find a topic that is more of a serious nature and grounded in patient care or some aspect of nursing. Having a "lover" is off base from nursing in general. JMO
i'm still a student and it is still our first write up on nursing research in which our instructor told us to use only topic that is visibly affects the nursing students of my school.....

Something to think about: Are you going to be able to find research data related to the academic performance of single students versus the academic performance of students in a relationship? I think it might be difficult to cite any studies on that topic.

How about..."The perception of stress on nursing student's academic success"..
How about doing a research paper on the effects of commuting to school. You could use as your sources interviews with several students. Those who live nearby for whom transportation and time constraints are not a problem, and those who live far away that have transportation and time problems. Assuming, of course, that your school has a number of commuters. Good luck with your paper.
