Rejected

I was just rejected with a 3.7 GPA. I'm really disappointed

I'll be retaking a couple of my Bs to raise it, and get some more points elsewhere. How did you find the determination and encouragement to keep at it, those of you who were rejected before?

Was it just based on grades? Or do they look at essays and work experience? I'm sorry you were rejected! Retake your lower graded courses and keep applying! I wish you luck!

Yeah i wouldn't retake B's. there gotta be a more specific reason why you were denied. I find it hard to believe that it was due to your gpa.

Where did you apply to?

The # of applicants can also affect admission. Keep trying until you get in.

I would suggest apply to more schools. I doubt it also that your GPA was the factor because it is a good one. If you only applied to one, then you limit your chances. I applied to multiple schools I was rejected from my first choice, but I landed a spot in my back up. I am so glad I explored other options because I would have been really hurt not to be starting this fall. If you can, be willing to look at other surrounding cities. Good luck I wish you well!!

How does the school work? Is it based on GPA or priority points, then an entrance exam? Your GPA is awesome!

Until then, retake some classes and reapply, along with applying to other schools.

Oh so sorry :( This situation makes me so nervous... my grades are great too but I am so afraid I will not be accepted to nursing school next year... I plan on applying to several schools in our area to maximize my chances of getting in, are there other schools close to you that you can apply to?

They have a point system. You get points based on residency, GPA, if you are a CNA, if you have a degree, etc.

Thank you :)

The points system encompasses a lot; it's used for an initial screening. After the initial screening, you make it to an essay portion, where the best essays will be selected.

I was unable to apply to more than one school because of my living situation at the moment. I'll be able to apply to several more next year :)

Then if thats the case, I would look at this as a positive thing. It means next year you will have options, and more opportunities. Take some classes, maybe cna or emt to make yourself more marketable, and then apply to a few schools next year. Just stay positive, and work towards what you want.
