Today I was told I was rejected from a program. I have a disorderly conduct charge from 2009. A former friend of mone stole when we were at the mall. I was not with her at the time but walked up to her and her boyfriend, unknowingly, in between security stopping her and the police arriving.
The original theft charges were dropped for me and I received a DC charge. I filed to expunge it and it is officially to be taken off my record.
I was rejected because they said I had a positive hit on castle branch that was within the past 15 years.
This is absurd. What do I do?

Charges don't matter. Convictions do. Were you convicted?
