I'm at a CT Community College also :) I took AP 1 with Great Books online (if you're interested in that I can PM you the name of my professor, she was SO EASY) I'm taking Lifespan along with AP 2 right now and I find that to be really easy as well. I think Lifespan or Sociology is definitely doable. I'd stay away from Algebra.

It depends on how much time you want to spend on getting your pre-req's done. If you have the time to take one class alone, A&P I would be a good choice for that because it also will come with a lab. It is time consuming and very in depth and can be difficult, but can be done with other classes as well, as long as you make sure to devote enough time to it. I took an art class while taking A&P I and did just fine in both. I just made sure to have an easy course to go along with it for financial aid reasons that would also apply toward my AA. This past quarter I took A&P II, Nutrition and a US History class as well as a PE class. It was a little more difficult, but still manageable. It's all about how you balance and manage your time. If you spend the time required to study and understand the topics in A&P, you'll do great. If you can get away with taking it by itself and completely devote 100% of your time to it, you'll knock it out of the park.

I am taking Sociology now with Psych, Advanced physiology, and algebra. I took A&P II with 4 other classes last semester. I would advise not taking it alone. First it is going to take you way longer to get the prereqs done. Also you need to get used to the rigor of nursing school where you will have many difficult classes at once. If you can't do say sociology with A&P I how will you do nursing fundamentals with med surg I and clinical? I'm not being harsh, just trying to put things in perspective for you.

Are you working or do you have other obligations? If not, it's definitely okay to double up on some prerequisites. I'm taking physiology, abnormal psychology, pathophysiology, microbiology, and stats this semester. My microbiology and physiology courses both have labs. I'm sitting on 4 As and 2 Bs right now. Hopefully I can get a 4.0 by the end of this semester, but I'm unemployed. I'd say, if you decide to take two courses, take AP and sociology or AP and lifespan psych. Algebra is a little harder than the other options.

Count A&P as two classes. Lifespan Psych is similar to General Psych but more amount of information to learn. Plus a short paper like you probably did in general psych.

If you don't need 6 credits for fin aid, doing just anatomy might be good. You can probably handle two tough classes but there's no extra credit for stress.

Since you are presently doing two classes I think you should go with your gut feeling and be confident you will do well with whatever course-load you choose.

In California we have a website that I use called ratemyprofessor. I am able to learn a ton about a professor and it helps me make the type of decision(s) you are looking to make. If you find out you will have an pretty decent instructor, or better yet, a great instructor, go ahead and add a non-science class or two to go along with your A&P 1 course. Currently, I am taking Anatomy, Sign Language and Nutrition. My,

most difficult course is obviously, Anatomy and the other two are very tolerable. I planned it this way. I think if you know what you are getting into, I don't see why you couldn't at the very minimum take A&P with Sociology, and even Psych. Good luck.

It's a lot of studying but nothing like the nursing program will be. AP is all memorization; you don't really have to apply current or past knowledge to anything. Sociology is not difficult. Does your institution offer it online? I think you'd manage taking the two together.

I decided to take an online interdisciplinary course called Great Books. i have always been great at English and its an online course so I can work around my study schedule.Plus, it wont require any memorization of terms or any calculations, jusr interpretation. i hope it works out. I am working full time and dont want to overwhelm myself and mess up my gpa.

How many classes you can take at one time really depends on how much time you have available as well as how well you are organized and disciplined on keeping to tasks. I've found almost all hardcore sciences with a lab (AP1, AP2, Microbiology, related) should be treated like two separate 3 credit classes for allocation of study time. For me, that would mean doing well in any of those classes would be the ability to set aside and keep up with a minimum of 12 hours of study time per week in addition to class time. https://allnurses.com/pre-nursing-student/how-get-any-846733.html is an excellent article in terms of how to get organized to get an A.

Out of the other classes you listed, Life Span Development would probably pare best in terms of hard (AP1) to easiest. Sociology would be another good choice; though if your school is anything like ours, expect one or more group projects. Math tends to involve a lot of homework (treat it like a four credit class for determining time allocation).
