Really upset

OMG ren, that is such a shame, I know you were so excited about this job. My advice is do what you can, leave what you can't undone, and then maybe they will get it.

Thanks for your kind words. I am just dumbfounded about this. They needed alot of help but I still want to help them just not work a bazillion hours of overtime. I am salaried of course.

Ren, before you get in any deeper, (remember, you said "no intentions of replacing them") I'd tell them right NOW that since they can afford to do without these other two, they can surely also do without you as well, and get the heck OUT of there. Of COURSE you're salaried (!!!)... how easy that makes it for them to expect you to do the work of three ! No way, Ren.

Ren do not become over worked. It will make you ill.If they think you will do it they will not realise that those two people they fired, for whatever reason, need to be replaced. If the work is not getting done they should soon realise you can not do work of 3 people. Also i would ask myself 'would they do it?' The answer to that is 'NO they would not.

I envy you working in the community as im still have to wait till at least March 2004 before i can do the health visiting course i want to do and it is very difficult to get on.

Any way 'stick to your guns' dont do 3 peoples work!!

Ren -- Don't like the situation you're in. Or how they're commanding you to do triple work.

Start preparing to bail out of there. I'd try talking to my sup one more time. If I detected nothing was gonna change, then I'd start looking immediately.
