"Think your way out of every situation" was my motto ....But my god...my nclex was all about pt teaching on freaking wierded out nutjobs making mucho bizarro statements about obscure meds...not bp meds not heprin or warfin or insulin...but some 3rd line cancer drug and can a grandpa with radiation beads in his behind put his kids on his lap and read stories to them....NO...ITHINK? I WOULDNT BUT...i must sleep
one freaking titration...one
15 or so who do you see before they die
10 easy ones on basic nursinhg
and the rest...welll I want my pizza job back now
So 48 hours of hell and no sleep
So come yall tell me

:rotfl: I hate to laugh but you are funny. I think you did fine! There is nothing you can do about it now. I hear many people getting 75 questions and passing and some with 265 passing. You just never know. I will keep things crossed that you passed!!
Try and sleep!!! What's done is done,.....continuing to worry won't change a thing.

I had been told from some that you consistently pass if you shut off at 75! They were WRONG..... I know of more than a hand full of people who thought they had passed at 75, and they did not. But hey, if you gave it your best shot and you know you know your stuff.... I'm sure u did fine. I take my test on Friday and am anxious as heck! I have severe test anxiety. The waiting game will be the hardest. Heck I can't stand waiting for a package to arrive in the mail from an auction on ebay....so you know I'm going to go stir crazy waiting here in California for my results!

:chuckle :chuckle I'm the same way with my Ebay auctions...actually bought something today.....want it NOW! lol
As for the op: I hope you pass! 75, 81, 265, etc....no one can say pass or fail to any number. Hopefully, the weirded out questions were the ones I have read about that don't count. Good luck, try to rest...when it comes to my time to wait, I'll probably be a total pimple face caused by stress and anxiety. lol
Do what you like to do hobby-wise, find a good book, go shopping, get a tooth pulled without being numbed....hey, it will all be better than waiting at home constantly looking for your results. LOL
Good luck again.....let us know :)

Dear bcjams,
I have the same problem like you after the NCLEX I took in Pasadena, CA at Feb 28. I got 75 and I am sure the first one and the last one were correctly answered. However, in between, all about priority...me...had no clue at all...Anyway, I do and I did my best...I waited 17days...my confidence kept lagging... and the mail came in just yesterday...and...now I am an official RN in California! So are you! Keep your fingers crossed, we will pray for you.
PS: Do you have quick result in Iowa?

took it here in MA on the 17th (luck of my Irish ancestors be with me) shut off at 75 questions. I am a fast tester, but this was crazy, I did the 75 in 37 minutes!! One hairy calculation, I tried for 4 minutes on that one and just gave up and guessed. Many who do you see first, I tried to pick the one that was going to die soon, or in one case, was already dead (pulseless). Many weird diseases, "which symptoms match this disease" No maternity questions (my forte) and only ONE delegation question, who do you give to the most experienced RN, maybe the pt that was just x-ferred from the ICU?
I hope to find out by Sunday. I'll pay the $7.95 just to get a good night's sleep.

I just finished my NCLEX test and the computer shut down after I answered 75 questions, and I felt the same way as you. I really felt I failed, I hope I can get result soon, so I will definitely pay that $7.95.
What a disgusting test, all of my time spent on studying and reviewing seems useless.
I am very anxious also.
I passed
Great news!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!
