76 Questions

Hey guys! So...I took my NCLEX-RN today. I got cut off after 76 questions. I am 98.9% sure that I correctly answered the 76th question. Does that mean that I likely passed, since it cut me off after correctly answering the 76th question? Or am I just being overly positive? The nerves are starting to get to me!

Thanks for any feedback!

You either did quite well, or very poorly. Given the kind of student you were, the grades you received, how you prepared for this exam....which scenario is more likely?

Hang in there :)

This is the second post by people focusing on the last question when the test shuts off at 75 (or 76) questions. There are only 2 reasons that it shuts off at 75 (or 76). That the computer decided that you did so horribly that it determined that it would be worthless to give you any more questions or you did extremely well and it determined with a high level of certainty that you are competent to be a nurse. According to your performance in nursing school, which is more likely? Did you do well in nursing school or barely pass?

I did well. I got high marks in clinical and made Bs in all but maternity.

Hi all! I just took the nclex this morning at 8am and got shut off at 75. I just graduated May 1 and did well (graduated magna cum laude)... so I would thiiiiiink it's pass? But I just kind of felt like it was asking a lot of content questions vs application, but who knows. I did like 40% of the kaplan qbank and most of the ncsbn review thing. I had a decent amount of SATA, but that means nothing lol. SO nervous!!

Well there you go! Congrats, and welcome to the fold :D

I took the nclex yesterday, and I am sooo down. Almost half of my 75 item are SATA around 5 arranging in order and 2 hotspot. As soon as I got home, I've looked for the right answers, and I feel so dumb that I missed the easy ones :'(

Feel the same way. What were your results?
